Learning is fun...
...that is if Megan of Etsy's FFTF&B has anything to do with it. Megan's shop, "From Fragments To Furniture & Beyond" is a shop for kids of all ages. She specializes in fun educational toys with special needs kids in mind and creates fun ways to encourage speech, motor skills and sensory stimulation. She also makes things for kids in general and those who are a kid at heart.
We are especially pleased to show of her latest project, these colorful numbered dominoes, not only because Megan is a fellow Handmade In Vegas Team member but because she commissioned a custom domino mold from our Clay Shoppe to craft these little lovelies.
Her entire store is an explosion of color and excitement and well worth checking out.

Exciting giveaway - Enter to win...Last weekend...don't miss your chance!
We've extended the contest to give you this weekend to enter for your chance to win!.
We proudly present this beautifully unique piece of artisan jewelry from Wild Things Wear valued at $68.00. This is her precious dancing flowers necklace. Hanging from beautiful rust colored leather, this fine silver pendant has been given a pewter patina for an antique look, yet a high polish finish. Citrine and tiger's eye gemstones dangle from the pendant. The leather is attached to a sterling silver chain, with the total length 18". Citrine will give joy and love to the owner, and tiger's eye promotes balance and strength to get through difficult phases of life.
Laura of Wild Things Wear, started making fine silver and gemstone jewelry, and combined it with her passion for art, creating wearable art jewelry! Each piece is unique and organic, and she loves using recycled materials. To see more of Laura's work visit...

January 15 - Blog Carnival
In 2010, Kathy and I are working on our marketing strategies, getting a little more organized and creating....creating....creating. We're talking about revamping our jewelry line by designing our own line of pendants made from PMC and Copper. Also be sure to check in on our Yoga Fairy shop, we will be changing the wings on our adorable little fairies, we're very excited about that too. We have a lot of ideas for this year that are still in the talk phases, but will soon be put in to action.
We hope to accomplish twice as much as we did last year. We want to do more craft shows and we're looking forward to being a part of the Renaissance Festival again this year. We learned a lot from last year and will be doing things a little bit differently on how we'll be setting up our booth. We're taking other vendors advice and just things we realized would've been better and we should have a spectacular booth...not that our other booth wasn't awesome because we did get a lot of people telling us they loved our booth.

Overall, we'll be concentrating on organization, creating, networking and helping out wherever we can.
We hope that each and everyone has a prosperous New Year and keep creating!

Not your average Siren...
Coming soon to Ametista......
Mermaid MoNsTeR bOx
I finally finished her....I made a few color changes, but here is the final product.
I had made the face a long time ago and just wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it, and then I finally created this fantasy mermaid box. Even though this box went through several different transitions before the final product came to be. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as Carrie and I do.

Two more items coming soon to Ametista.etsy.com.....
First I just want to announce that we (Carrie and I (Ametista)) got accepted to have a booth at the Renaissance Festival here in Las Vegas starting October 9,10,&11.....Yea!
We're very excited, but more on that later....
So here are two of the items we've been working on and the "Blackthorn Artistic Apothecary Bottle" designed by Carrie is totally finished and should be up for sale this week at ametista.etsy.com.

Then there's the one I've been working on. I haven't come up with a name yet for it, but it's another creation to our MoNsTeR bOx series....LOL...I should have this one completed by the end of the week and it too can be purchased at ametista.etsy.com.

The stars are made with Night Glow clay.

We're very excited, but more on that later....

Be sure to check back!
