THe MiGHtY RoaR MoNsTeR bOx

THe MiGHtY RoaR MoNsTeR bOx, originally uploaded by ametistagirl.
Whilst on safari, on the isle, a hunting we did go,
to catch the MiGHtY MoNsTer bOx, the fiercest that we know.

We hid beneath the tangled vines within the lions den
and waited there till it's return to capture it and then...

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the Lion slept that night
and as he did, from whence we hid, we gave him such a fright.

The net was thrown, the lion caught, he let out such roar.
The loudest thing we'd ever heard...it shook the jungle floor!

And so we have here, just for you, a box most proud and strong, to keep your lovely little treasures right where they belong.

The Art of Re-Enchanting...

As many of you already know, we specialize in polymer clay, with a focus on dark yet whimsical home decor, such as artistic apothecary bottles and MoNsTeR bOxes. But what you may not know is that most of our items are crafted from re-enchanted glass, wood and other materials.

Starbucks fans will recognize these bottles.
What is Re-Enchanted?
The Definition of Re-Enchanted goes something like this...
To Enchant—
en-chant [en-chant]
-verb (used with object)
1. To subject to magical influence; bewitch: fairy tales about witches who enchant handsome princes and beautiful maidens.
2. To delight to a high degree: Her gaiety and wit have enchanted us all.
3. To impart a magic quality or effect to.

Re—
re [ree]
-prefix (used in this case with a verb)
To re-do: Can I have a do over?
To do again
To reuse, and this case to Recycle.

Chambord anyone?

In short, we re-enchant the mundane and render it magical!
At Ametista you can choose from our ever expanding selection of artistic offerings
OR you can have us custom design a piece just for you!

Vintage Jewelry Box circa 1960, now artistically re-enchanted.

A Crafty Clay Shoppe Customer Creation...

Look what Roz Loftus of Rozzies Sparklies has created using molds from The Clay Shoppe by Ametista!   She is a talented Precious Metal Clay artisan from the UK who, aside from being a fabulous customer of ours, is someone who wishes she could be a singer, architect and travel writer when she grows up...(and secretly hopes she will never grow up) and we respect that.

We eagerly look forward to seeing more work from Roz!  We invite you to view more amazing work created by our loyal customers.  To view the fabulousness click here.

Take part in this exciting global event!

UPDATE - Due the overwhelming  response  to this fabulous blog fest,
we're adding an additional Fairy Wish Bottle for every 100 comments...
...so now there's 2 Fairy Wish Bottles up for grabs will there be THREE!

WHAT IS ONE WORLD ONE HEART?
We are so excited be involved in this global networking event. This is the forth year of this huge blog giveaway, but it's our first time participating...how fun! We are very much looking forward to meeting new and interesting bloggers out there in the blog universe.

Here's a little something about 'One World One Heart'...
Lisa Swifka of 'My Life as a Whimsical Bohemia' created this event in 2007. The original idea behind this giveaway event was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. Lisa says, "It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way". As of 2009, 911 bloggers from 28 countries participated. Can't wait to see the total this year!

In Lisa's words, "It transcends geographical location, socio economics, political affiliation, religious beliefs......it's a coming together like the giant community we are on this planet. If only it took a simple giveaway to create PEACE everywhere, in the mean time here we give from our hearts. We are not solving the worlds problems nor are we curing anything nor are we changing the world. We are merely generating a closer community between humans through blogging."

Contest starts NOW and ends February 15, 2010

So, in keeping with this year's theme of "Magic Carpet Ride", We offer up, for your sparkly wish fulfillment, your very own FAiRY WiSH bOtTLe!

Ametista’s FAiRY WiSH bOtTLes were created for the specific purpose of wish granting.

The first step to getting anything one wants is to envision it. You must have a clear image of what you desire. Writing down your intentions is a good way to strengthen your focus.

Now as everyone knows, fairies carry wishes into the realm of possibility...one of the more helpful/less mischievous tasks they perform. So do be careful what you wish for, you are likely to get it!
