We've been featured by HelpingHandsArt...

Recently we received happy news that we are being featured by Helping Hands Art, for our efforts to raise awareness and research funds for Autism at Ametista's Etsy shop. We donate to Autism Speaks

Now here is something that's wonderful to see...a blog that features artist who are giving back to causes that they are passionate about...causes that effect us all on some level. It's positive, proactive and a brilliant use of blog in my opinion! Worth checking out!

1st Place WINNER of the PCAGOE August Challenge!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who voted! Because of you, we won this month's challenge ! This is our first win so we're extra excited!

I admit it, I'm a grown up who loves all things Harry Potter and I don't care WHO knows it! (Wow...that felt good!) I'm a huge fan of the books and movies, as many are and this was a fun opportunity to pay a bit of tribute! This polymer clay photo transfer piece was created for the PCAGOE July competition. The theme for July's is "Show time" so I picked one of my favorite movies, HP and the Order of the Phoenix.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

This Month's Featured Etsy Blogger

Monthly Featured EtsyBlogger!
We've recently joined the Etsy Bloggers team and one of the things we do is promote each other's work through our individual blogs. Each month there is a different EtsyBlogger who gets featured. This month it's: TulipsTreasureBox. Her shop consists of many beautiful jewelry items, which she uses the method of "bead woven" in almost all her designs. It's hundreds of tiny seed beads woven together to make necklaces, earring, bracelets, ect....She also sells jewelry supplies and makes purses as well. Very talented indeed. So please be sure to check out her shop, there's a little something for everyone!

World's Greatest Marinade...really!

This is our favorite grilling recipe. It’s the greatest marinade for just about everything. We use it to marinade steaks, or any kind of beef, chicken and pork. It makes the meats tender and juicy. A little bit goes a long way too! Bon Appetite!

3/4 cups Olive oil (this is really the best to use)
1/2 cup Soy sauce
1/4 cup Red Wine vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice (fresh or store bought)
2 TBL. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt, pepper and parsley (fresh or dried)
1 TBL. Dry Mustard
2 cloves of garlic, minced

Mix all the ingredients together and shake very well. Refrigerate.
It’s best if you wait a couple of hours before using, to let all the ingredients sit together.
