January 15 - Blog Carnival

In 2010, Kathy and I are working on our marketing strategies, getting a little more organized and creating....creating....creating.  We're talking about revamping our jewelry line by designing our own line of pendants made from PMC and Copper. Also be sure to check in on our Yoga Fairy shop, we will be changing the wings on our adorable little fairies, we're very excited about that too. We have a lot of ideas for this year that are still in the talk phases, but will soon be put in to action.

We hope to accomplish twice as much as we did last year.   We want to do more craft shows and we're looking forward to being a part of the Renaissance Festival again this year.  We learned a lot from last year and will be doing things a little bit differently on how we'll be setting up our booth.  We're taking other vendors advice and just things we realized would've been better and we should have a spectacular booth...not that our other booth wasn't awesome because we did get a lot of people telling us they loved our booth.

Overall, we'll be concentrating on organization, creating, networking and helping out wherever we can.

We hope that each and everyone has a prosperous New Year and keep creating!

Not your average Siren...

Coming soon to Ametista......

Mermaid MoNsTeR bOx

I finally finished her....I made a few color changes, but here is the final product.

I had made the face a long time ago and just wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it, and then I finally created this fantasy mermaid box. Even though this box went through several different transitions before the final product came to be. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as Carrie and I do.

Crafty Clay Shoppe Customers...

Look what "dedesjewelrybox's" created with our molds. These stunning pieces are crafted from Silver PMC (Precious metal clay) which she forms, using our molds and then dries, sands, fires and polishes for a shine that only this purest of silvers can give.

This artist has done a remarkable job and we look forward to seeing more from her!

The French Market in Las Vegas

We had a lot of fun showing our merchandise at our local "French Market". It was a beautiful day in Las Vegas (other than a little hot), but there was a nice breeze as well to help you cool off. It was a very nice turn out and we sold enough to double pay for our booth rental, as well as we got a lot of positive feedback on our artistic offerings. So to us that was a success!

Also our very good and talented friend, Laura Zollar, joined us and had her prints for sale and brought a few pieces of her original artwork with her.

Her website is a must see!

We are planning on being there again on May 30th, from 9:00am - 1:00pm, so all you locals be sure to come out to see what new items we have and buy yourself some gorgeous produce as well. It's located at Village of Centennial Springs Park, 7565 Norman Rockwell Ln. Las Vegas 89143. (N. Durango and Farm Rd.)

There were all kinds of different vendors there from produce (of course), olive oils and balsamic vinegar, handcrafted artistic cheese, handmade children's clothing, art, and so much more.

I went around and took some pictures and wanted to share their creative merchandise with you.

Bistro Blends had some very tasty and wonderful olive oils, aged balsamic vinegar (to die for) along with an assortment of marinades. Everything was very good, because I sampled them all...LOL! So be sure to click on their name to go to their website to check out the products. You'll be glad you did.

Vintage Lucy's specializes in unique hip items with a vintage flair for children and adults. They offer one of a kind retro items for home and fashions. So for all your Las Vegans, this is a local company. So for that unique item for yourself or a gift click on her link to visit her shop! Very cute stuff!

This next artist is also local here in Las Vegas and also a fellow "etsyan" as well. Kelly Murphy of Murphy Studios. She paints with acrylics. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art. She has a variety of different styles that is sure to fit your taste. She will be at the French Market on May 30th as well. While your visiting her shop, please be sure to read her profile, she has some big plans.

Patti Backer whimsical art and silly fish her art is a whimsical combination of folk and lowbrow, sweet and macabre. She paints furniture, makes things from hand built ceramic pieces and creates silly strange school fish. Each piece has it's own personality and is very unique. Her work is just adorable and fun, so be sure to check out her shop(s), you're bound to find exactly what you're looking for. She's also a local in Las Vegas!

Here is a couple of shots of our tables....Ametista!

Check out some of the other vendors at the "French Market".

So head out to support your local community and artist!
May 30th from 9am - 1:00pm.
We'll see you there!
