NEW!!

NEW to DarkDecors.com
Art tile coaster sets!!

Dear Friends,

Metro has refused to sign off on the permits for The LOT’s First Friday event. The decision will be appealed. However, because of the short amount of time, the appeal will not be resolved prior to this Friday and so the event will NOT proceed as normal.

The attorneys who are representing The LOT are confident that this matter will be resolved in time for June 1 First Friday. We will certainly keep you up to date.

Thank you all for your continued support!

and today we went to this...

This afternoon we headed downtown to the arts district to attend...

It was a way cool experience! Great folks, awesome local business, fabulous finds and food.
Pictures will say it better than our words (plus I type slow and uploading photos is faster.)

Handmade in Vegas gals, Marlene, Barb and our very own Kathy.

The downtown block of vacant buildings has been revitalized
 (using recycled and sustainable materials)
for this weekend's event to demonstrate what is possible for this area.

The street, which is normally rather sparse, was lined with trees, a bike lane,
bistro tables and many people enjoying the great atmosphere
on a beautiful Las Vegas Spring day.

The shops were filled with beautiful handmade clothing, like this gorgeous piece by Jennifer Paquin of  'Torn Cutoure',  artisan made jewelry, including of my personal favs, Funky Recycling , home decor and more.

These comfortable tables and benches were made from
wooden plats and old fire hoses.

Top that off with delicious vegan smoothies and wonderful latte's
and POOF!! The perfect afternoon!

Today we played!!

We've been working on so many things lately and so many of them have been, well...let's just say not shiny. Bills, general accounting, taxes...you know...not shiny or fun in the slightest.

But today, we had a fabulously fun day of creating art tile coasters using some images of our artwork.
 WaY FuN!

We'll be selling these on May 4th, for First Friday ( Las Vegas' premiere monthly art event) at
The LOT, the best 'Shop Local' experience in town.

Okay, back to playtime!

It pays to play...

Here is yet another awesome reason to support hand crafters and small business...

They like to give you stuff...COOL stuff! No one takes better care of their customers than a small business owner.  Many will offer incentives and prizes that you just won't see the big guys giving away.

Look what we won from the latest contest hosted by Jewels by Jules

So exciting! A handmade necklace, that's beautiful and unique and now ours!

Check out her awesome shop...she's a Las Vegas artisan...just like us and a proud member
of Handmade in Vegas!
